Ohio Nature Education

About

About

What is your organization’s mission statement?

ONE has two missions: (1) to provide a permanent home for more than 40 non-releasable wild animals that are too sick or injured to go back into the wild; and (2) to incorporate these animals into environmental education programs. ONE’s goal is to instill in its audiences an appreciation of our natural world.

What population do you serve?

We provide a home for permanently injured wild animals, which are incorporated into environmental education programs. We provide a wide variety of educational programs for both children and adults.

How many do you serve in a year?

Since its founding in May 1997, ONE has conducted more than 2800 programs for more than 130,000 children and adults in 18 Central Ohio counties. In 2008, ONE conducted 356 programs in eleven counties. ONE now averages more than 300 programs annually on 40 program topics.
